Responsibilities

+ Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, or related field

+ Minimum 7 years of relevant experience working within a supply chain environment

+ Proven experience within a Supply Chain Control Tower

+ Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

+ Strong organizational and time management skills

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office and databases

+ Proficiency with JDE or similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, required.

+ Knowledge of process improvement tools and techniques

+ Advanced Excel skills (big data analysis, pivot table, VLOOKUP etc.)

+ Preferred Experience:

+ Inventory/Forecasting

+ Power BI

+ Oil/gas experience

+ OTM Knowledge

+ Freight planning tools

Qualifications

A Control Tower Freight Planner is responsible to create, maintain and/or adjust optimized plans for transporting freight via a wide variety of transportation methods according to customer or operational needs. The Control Tower Freight Planner will collaborate with multiple teams including demand forecasting, logistics, sourcing, transportation, and operations. They should be able to create, analyze and manage different scenarios, identify the implications of various decisions, develop solutions, and implement plans providing optimum solutions based on cost and service commitments.

Specific job responsibilities include:

+ Track, monitor and maintain supply chain performance to ensure that contractual terms are met.

+ Review, analyze and understand customer requirements and create freight plans according to customer expectations.

+ Analyze potential transportation solutions and identify transportation carriers for each scenario.

+ Work closely with other departments to ensure that freight plans align with wider business objectives.

+ Ensure proper documentation of all freight activities and maintain records of work performed.

+ Keep abreast of market movements, cost-saving opportunities, industry regulations and news.

+ Create reports, metrics, and presentations for internal stakeholders.

+ Analyze current processes and suggest new ways of working to increase effectiveness.

+ Manage projects, ensuring that all project deadlines are met.

+ Implement and track the defined KPIs to measure the performance of the end-to-end process

+ Cost analysis (monthly, quarterly, yearly) and improvement proposals for optimum cost benefit and service delivery to the GZ Logistics Manager

+ Periodic review of contracted and market rates (market intelligence)

+ Responsible for implementing and continuously improve import / export processes to enhance service level to field organization

+ Manage custom brokers and forwarding agents for the Geozone and ensure compliance of all contracts in place

+ Responsible and accountable for all processed shipments by ensuring that harmonized tariff codes are correctly applied, free trade agreements fully utilized, Temporary Import are properly managed aiming for a high level of efficiency (operation)
