Control system Engineer (Onshore Operations) Business/Department: Exploration & Production - Production Support Excellent Salary Offered Responsibilities: . Engineer all instrumentation and controls design modifications and upgrades as per the best engineering practices, current industry and company standards. . Develop schemes for instrumentation and control modifications and updates to improve operability, efficiency, safety and/or reliability, replace obsolete equipment as per the Facility Change Procedure. . Manage projects within Budgeted costs, schedules and resources. . Drives business processes to ensure project gates, management of change and supply chain processes are adhered to. . Participate in the Risk Assessment evaluation carried out for project activities. . Support commissioning and startup plans for new equipment and Systems as necessary. . Carryout Plant Shutdown activities for instrumentation and controls equipment. . Ensure Discipline Specifications and... Drawings are current. . Develop Asset Integrity Plans for instrumentation and controls. . Manage the control system for its reliability and security. . Participate in safety and hazard reviews (HAZOP) of projects incorporating modifications recommended for safe operation. . Conduct Safety Integrity Level (SIL) studies as required. . Contribute to a high standard of HSE performance by following HSE standards at all times, including the prompt reporting of any safety or environmental hazards or incidents. . Provide technical input to project scopes and drive supply chain processes to ensure business goals are met. . Provide technical advice to determine best practices for discipline reliability and the most appropriate work methods to prevent repeat failures. Educational Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in discipline engineering or equivalent Experience Profile: - 10+ years operation / maintenance support to Oil & Gas Control & Instrumentation installations - Working experience with Control & Instrumentation systems including: o DCS Systems o PLC Controls PLC-5 and RSLogix 5000 o Pneumatic Controls o Turbine & Compressor/Pump Controls. Rolls Royce/Solar/Dresser. o Vibration Monitoring Systems o Gas Compressor Surge Control Systems o Fire & Gas & ESD Systems o Control & Shutdown Valves. Fuel Control Valves o Plant Information Management System o Working knowledge and experience in oil & gas industry codes, specifications and practices
