Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and vigilant

Control Room Supervisor

to oversee road network operations within the

Roads Management Centre (RMC)

. The role involves using

Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)

and expert judgment to monitor traffic patterns, identify potential congestion, and implement tactical interventions that enhance traffic flow and public safety.

This position plays a key role in ensuring operational efficiency, real-time incident management, and effective coordination across Qatar's national road network.

Key Responsibilities

Utilize

ITS systems

and professional experience to improve safety for motorists, pedestrians, and road workers. Monitor and analyze traffic patterns to anticipate congestion and implement appropriate interventions. Manage

incidents, weather events, and emergencies

impacting the road network confidently and safely. Operate and oversee

traffic signals, CCTV systems, dynamic message signs

, and tunnel operations. Coordinate

road closures

,

traffic diversions

, and provide

real-time traffic updates

to stakeholders. Collaborate closely with internal departments, emergency services, and external agencies. Support

major events

and operations involving abnormal or hazardous loads. Ensure adherence to

Quality, Health, and Safety

policies and operational procedures. Maintain

data security, system integrity

, and professionalism at all times. Provide feedback to software and system development teams for ongoing improvement. Perform assigned duties in a

24/7 shift-based operational environment

. Undertake any additional tasks required by management.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

Bachelor's Degree or higher in

Engineering

or a related field. Minimum

10 years of experience

in a Roads Control Room environment, operating ITS systems. Proven expertise in

Incident Management

and

Safety-Critical System Operations

. Strong working knowledge of

complex ITS platforms and modular systems

. Excellent

verbal and written communication

skills in English. Experience working in

rotational shift environments

.

Technical Knowledge

Experience with at least one

transportation-specific Video Management System (VMS)

. Working knowledge of

Tunnel Management Systems

or

Road Incident Management Systems

.
