CONTROL ROOM OPERATOR (PSBD)
Department: Security Operations
Reports to: Security Supervisor / Control Room Manager
Job Purpose:
To monitor and coordinate all security and safety operations from the central control room in compliance with the Premium Standards for Built Environment (PSBD) and company protocols, ensuring a swift and effective response to all incidents.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Continuous Monitoring: Operate and monitor all integrated security systems including CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, and Building Management Systems (BMS) from the central control room.
  • Incident Response: Serve as the first point of contact for all security and emergency incidents. Dispatch patrol officers or emergency services as required and log all actions taken.
  • Communication Hub: Maintain constant radio communication with all security personnel on the ground, providing them with information and support.
  • PSBD Compliance: Ensure all control room operations and reporting adhere strictly to the Premium Standards for Built Environment (PSBD) guidelines and any other client-specific requirements.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Accurately record all events, incidents, and communications in the Daily Activity Report (DAR) and incident management system. Generate shift reports for management.
  • System Maintenance: Perform basic troubleshooting of control room equipment and report any technical faults immediately to the relevant maintenance team.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding all security procedures, system passwords, and monitored information.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Additional certification in security operations or control room management is highly desirable.
  • Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience working as a Control Room Operator, specifically within a PSBD-compliant environment.
  • Valid SIRA or relevant security license is mandatory.
  • Arabic Speaker Preferred (as required for effective communication with local authorities and client representatives).
Required Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of PSBD standards and procedures.
  • Proficiency in operating advanced CCTV, access control, and radio communication systems.
  • Strong observation skills and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and make quick decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills for report writing and data entry.
