Job Description
POSITION:
CONTRACT ENGINEER (MECHANICAL/ELECTRICAL/CIVIL)
10 years experience minimum Work within the Contracts and Subcontract Administration Department. Review the Main Contract & ITT Specifications for general & additional warranties related to the Subcontract Works and coordinate with the Technical Dept. for review & ensure compliance with the Material Submittals approvals. Follow up with third parties Vendors and Subcontractors to obtain the warranties text and validity in accordance with the Main Contract, the specification and acceptable to the Employer / Engineer. Coordinate with the Procurement to procure such warranties where commercial matter are concerned. Procurement experience is a plus. Ability to conduct discussions and meetings and convince local and overseas manufacturers and subcontractors to release the warranties on time or upgrade received warranties to become acceptable. Ability to discuss and convince the Engineers staff of certain deviations and negotiate a resolution (ex 20 years warranties) Periodic reporting of accomplishments and difficulties to seek required support from other departments. Report to the Subcontract Administration Manager and channel department support to achieve the task.
