HP MEA Personal Systems Category Team is looking for an Area Category Lead to manage our Consumer Products within the Personal Systems category in the MEA market.
In this role you will be responsible for driving the consumer business across MEA.
Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas. Successfully operates in the most complex disciplines, in which the company must operate to be successful. Provides highly innovative solutions
Develops strategy and sets functional policy and direction. Acts as a functional manager within area of expertise but does not manage other employees as a primary job function.
Responsibilities:
Superior understanding of the category product, business management and sales challenges and strategies.
Define and drive the long-term strategy to enable sustained profitable growth and drive HP leadership across the market.
Define and drive quarterly game plans for the categories in scope and drive execution to achieve business goals.
Product roadmap expertise, support to countries and support request to category and GBU teams.
P&L Management (pricing, promotion)
Business management (COR and MOR), monitor business and drive gap mitigation and opportunity materialization plans.
Collaborate with country teams and Market central teams to collectively drive business goal attainment.
Education and Experience Required:
University or Bachelors degree in Marketing or Finance; advanced degree or MBA preferred.
Typically 12+ years of professional experience with a combination of Marketing, Sales, Business Planning experienced preferred.
Demonstrated Management/ Team leadership experience.
Experience on Consumer products
Experience on Middle East and Africa region
Knowledge and Skills:
IT industry knowledge.
Business planning skills, multidimensional.
Financial planning and modelling skills, comfortable to manage high complexity business planning and reporting.
Strong communication skills at senior management internally and externally.
Knowledge of promotional marketing processes and practices.
Negotiation skills and ability to frame the product value proposition to customers/partners.
Leadership skills and cross functional expertise (sales, supply chain, marketing.
