Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced pediatric cardiac surgeries including congenital defect repairs, valve replacements, and corrective procedures.
• Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments and manage post-operative follow-ups to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with pediatric cardiologists, anesthesiologists, intensivists, and nursing staff in individualized patient care planning.
• Lead ward rounds, participate in case discussions, and contribute to multidisciplinary decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, safety guidelines, and documentation standards.
• Participate in on-call duties, including weekends and public holidays, as part of the surgical rotation.
• Mentor junior doctors, residents, and fellows, contributing to training and clinical education.
• Engage in research activities and pursue continuing medical education to advance pediatric cardiac care.

Ideal Profile

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with completed residency in General Surgery and fellowship in Pediatric Cardiac Surgery.
• Minimum 5 years of post-fellowship experience in advanced pediatric cardiac procedures.
• Licensed or eligible for DOH/HAAD registration in the UAE.
• Tier 1 board certification preferred.
• Arabic-speaking or Western-trained candidates are highly desirable.
• Strong surgical expertise, leadership qualities, and interpersonal skills.
• Dedication to innovation, safety, and patient-centered care.
