Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of hematologic conditions including anemia, thrombocytopenia, leukemias, lymphomas, myeloma, hemophilia, sickle cell disease, and coagulation disorders
  • Oversee and perform bone marrow biopsy procedures, transfusion protocols, and chemotherapy regimens
  • Provide specialist consultative services to inpatient and outpatient units
  • Collaborate closely with oncology, pathology, radiology, and multidisciplinary clinical teams for integrated patient care
  • Participate in tumor boards, clinical audits, and hospital quality improvement initiatives
  • Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, and long-term management
  • Contribute to academic teaching activities and continuous medical education programs
  • Maintain compliance with all UAE medical regulations, safety standards, and ethical guidelines
Ideal Profile
  • Medical degree from a recognized and accredited institution
  • Board certification in Hematology
  • Valid DOH license or eligibility to practice in Abu Dhabi
  • Minimum 5 years post-specialization experience in a tertiary or academic hospital setting
  • Demonstrated expertise in both benign and malignant hematologic disorders
  • Strong diagnostic, procedural, and clinical decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and multidisciplinary collaboration abilities
