Khales Engineering Consultancy is a dynamic and growing engineering and project management firm based in Dubai. We are seeking a visionary Consultant Architect

to lead our Design Department, steering architectural excellence across consultancy and contracting projects.

Key Responsibilities

Design Leadership & Development

Lead the architectural design process from concept through execution. Develop innovative, sustainable, and functional design solutions that align with client briefs and UAE regulatory requirements. Ensure all designs comply with local authority standards (Dubai Municipality, SEWA, DEWA) and hold valid G+4 classification.

Coordination & Integration

Coordinate seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams--structural, MEP, project management, interior--to integrate architectural and engineering disciplines. Oversee design integration across all project phases and across multiple emirates.

Project Oversight & Execution

Manage deliverables across

Sharjah, Dubai, Fujairah, and other Emirates

, ensuring cohesive design implementation and site coordination. Conduct regular design reviews and quality checks, ensuring compliance with consultancy standards and regulatory codes.

Approval & Authority Liaison

Oversee submission and approval processes with regulatory authorities, tracking NOCs, permits, and classification status. Maintain updates on local codes and authority requirements.

Mentorship & Team Development

Mentor junior architects and designers, encouraging professional growth and design excellence. Foster collaboration, creativity, and technical rigor within the Design Department Indeed+1

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

Serve as the principal design consultant interfacing with clients, providing expert solutions and maintaining design consistency. Represent the firm in design presentations, regulatory discussions, and client meetings.

Technical Oversight & Quality Assurance

Lead the review, approval, and sign-off of architectural drawings and technical submissions. Ensure architectural outputs meet high standards of safety, efficiency, sustainability, and aesthetics.

Tendering & Commercial Support

Contribute to tender documentation, BOQ preparation, and the evaluation of contractors' compliance with authority regulations.

Regional Integration

Provide oversight over MEP, architectural, and sustainability aspects across projects in Sharjah, Dubai, Fujairah, and beyond.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor's in Architecture (Master's preferred) from a recognized university. Minimum

7+ years

of architectural design experience, with at least

3 years in the UAE consultation market

. Proven track record in consultancy or design leadership for high-rise, residential, and commercial projects. Registration or eligibility as Consultant Engineer - Architect with the UAE Society of Engineers and Dubai Municipality. Valid or eligible for

Dubai Municipality G+4 classification

. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Suite, SketchUp, and BIM workflows. Exceptional leadership, communication, and client-facing abilities. In-depth knowledge of UAE building regulations, permitting, and green building standards Indeed+1.
