Job Title: Construction Project Engineer

Department: Construction / Project Management

Reports To: Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer

Job Summary

The Construction Project Engineer supports the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects from start to finish. This role involves technical oversight, schedule and cost management, document control, and collaboration with design teams, contractors, and clients to ensure successful project delivery on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Coordination

Assist the Project Manager in developing project schedules, budgets, and work plans.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to review drawings, specifications, and design changes.
Prepare and maintain project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and progress reports.
Construction Oversight

Monitor daily construction activities to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, safety protocols, and quality standards.
Support field operations by resolving technical issues and providing engineering input as needed.
Conduct site inspections and track project milestones.
Cost & Schedule Control

Track project costs, labor, materials, and equipment to ensure budget adherence.
Identify potential schedule delays and assist in developing recovery plans.
Support procurement and material delivery schedules.
Communication & Reporting

Maintain communication between field teams, subcontractors, and management.
Prepare weekly and monthly project status reports for leadership and clients.
Attend coordination and progress meetings.
Safety & Quality

Ensure all construction activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
Implement quality control procedures and participate in inspections and testing.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

Skills & Competencies

Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and engineering principles.
Proficiency in project management and design software (AutoCAD, Revit, Primavera P6, or MS Project).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards.
