Job summary/Role description
This position is responsible for providing on-site support in overseeing material flow and logistics. The role ensures proper handling, tracking, and distribution of materials to various project teams, while also using internal systems to monitor inventory levels and assess material usage. Additionally, the position contributes to decision-making by evaluating material availability and managing surplus items for potential reuse or resale.
Duties and responsibilities
He assists the Material Controller for material management at Site.
To receive, check, store and preserve the materials delivered at Site.
To consign materials to Subcontractors, according to the instructions given by the Material Controller.
To keep records about the handling of materials, using the Company software systems.
To perform feasibility analysis by the Company software system.
To maintain the inventory of unused material for sale.
Person Specification
Knowledge & Qualifications
University Degree or Diploma in relevant discipline or equivalent.
Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in respective area.
Shall be able to read, write and speak English language
Shall be fully conversant with applicable Industry Standards and Specifications.
Shall be able to perform a variety of inspection functions with minimal supervision.
Skills and Abilities
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail, management skills.
Team-oriented skills, self-motivation, and direction, with strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution.
