Job Description

Job Summary: The Construction Manager oversees all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards. This role involves managing contractors, subcontractors, and site teams while coordinating with engineers, planners, and stakeholders to deliver successful project execution. Key Responsibilities: 1. Project Execution & Supervision:

• Lead and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety regulations, and building codes.
• Monitor daily progress, resolve technical issues, and ensure adherence to the project schedule.
• Supervise subcontractors, vendors, and labor to maintain productivity and quality.

2. Planning & Scheduling:

• Review and approve construction schedules in coordination with the Planning Engineer.
• Ensure resources (manpower, equipment, materials) are available as per project requirements.
• Identify potential delays and implement recovery plans.

3. Budget & Cost Control:

• Monitor project expenditures and ensure cost-effective execution.
• Approve work progress payments and variations in alignment with contractual terms.
• Report financial status to senior management and suggest cost-saving measures.

4. Quality Assurance & Compliance:

• Enforce quality control procedures and inspect workmanship to meet project standards.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, local regulations, and company HSE policies.
• Conduct regular site safety meetings and audits.

5. Stakeholder Coordination:

• Liaise with clients, consultants, engineers, and government authorities for approvals and inspections.
• Provide regular progress updates to senior management and clients.
• Address and resolve client concerns promptly.

6. Risk Management:

• Identify construction risks (safety, delays, cost overruns) and implement mitigation strategies.
• Manage change orders and claims in coordination with the contracts team.
