Position Overview
AECOM is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead marine supervision projects in Abu Dhabi. This senior role is responsible for managing complex marine construction works, ensuring safe execution, contractual compliance, and successful delivery of high-profile coastal and marine infrastructure developments in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage marine construction supervision projects from commencement through completion
  • Develop and implement project execution plans, schedules, and budgets for marine works
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, and regulatory authorities to ensure aligned project delivery
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality control requirements
  • Oversee procurement and utilization of marine construction materials, equipment, and specialist services
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with marine and coastal construction activities
  • Conduct regular site inspections, progress meetings, and performance reviews
  • Manage, mentor, and direct site teams including engineers, supervisors, and contractors
  • Prepare detailed progress reports, risk assessments, and executive summaries for senior management
  • Monitor emerging marine construction technologies and methodologies to support project excellence
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, or related discipline
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum 15 years of experience with proven delivery of marine construction projects
  • Strong expertise in marine construction techniques, dredging, reclamation, and coastal engineering principles
  • Sound knowledge of UAE construction regulations and international marine standards
  • Proficiency in project management tools and AutoCAD
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Safety management certification preferred
  • Experience with offshore or large-scale marine infrastructure projects is an advantage
