Construction Manager - Civil Works (ADNOC Project)

Key Responsibilities
Manage all civil construction works for the project (earthworks, foundations, slabs, concrete?/?reinforced concrete, structural works, roads/drainage, utilities) in accordance with the contract scope, drawings, specifications and ADNOC standards.
Lead the day?to?day site construction operations: supervision of contractors/sub?contractors, site crews, coordination of multiple disciplines (civil, structural, MEP interfaces) and ensure safe, high?quality, on?schedule execution.
Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) policies and maintain a strong safety culture on site; review/approve method statements, risk assessments, SIMOPS, etc.
Monitor construction progress, manage schedule, identify delays/critical path issues, propose corrective actions; coordinate with planning team and contractors to maintain timeline.
Manage budget/cost control for the civil construction scope: review cost estimates, track expenditure, approve variations, monitor productivity and propose cost optimization measures.
Review technical submissions (drawings, shop drawings, material submittals), resolve design/construction interface issues, manage RFIs / FCRs (Field Change Requests) and ensure conformity to specs and standards (e.g., ACI, ASTM, BS, ISO) as required.
Oversee QA/QC for civil works: ensure inspections, testing, NCRs (Non?Conformance Reports) are managed, as?built documentation prepared, punch?list close?out and hand?over to Client/Operations.
Coordinate with interfaces: liaise with engineering, procurement, commissioning teams; ensure alignment between civil works and other disciplines (mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation) to avoid interface conflicts.
Lead the construction team: mentoring and managing site engineers/supervisors/sub?contractors, ensure adequate resourcing, enforce construction standards, drive continuous improvement and lessons learned.
Prepare and submit regular progress reports (daily, weekly, monthly), provide dashboards to senior management, raise risk/opportunity issues, maintain accurate documentation on site.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent. A Master's or additional qualification in Construction Management is an advantage.
Minimum
5
years+of progressive experience in civil construction management, preferably in large?scale infrastructure, industrial, oil & gas or EPC projects; prior experience on ADNOC or ADNOC?approved projects is strongly preferred.
Proven experience in a managerial/senior role (site construction manager, construction manager) with responsibility for multi?discipline teams and major scopes of work.
Knowledge of ADNOC codes, specifications, execution standards, HSE requirements (or equivalent major oil & gas/industrial owner standards).
Proficiency in project construction management tools and methods: e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, AutoCAD/Shop Drawings, report systems, cost control tools.
Strong leadership, communication (verbal & written) and stakeholder management skills: able to interface with contractors, clients, consultants, regulatory authorities.
Solid problem?solving skills, decision?making, ability to manage risks and drive construction productivity and quality.
Willingness to be on?site (sometimes remote or in challenging conditions), ready to mobilize and travel as required.
