Fire Pump Technician
Key Responsibilities:
1. Installation and Commissioning: Install, test, and commission fire pumps and associated equipment to ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local regulations.
2. Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on fire pumps, including troubleshooting and diagnosing issues.
3. Testing and Inspection: Conduct regular testing and inspection of fire pumps to ensure they are functioning properly and meet regulatory requirements.
4. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve problems with fire pumps, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues.
5. Compliance: Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with NFPA standards, local regulations, and company policies.
6. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance, testing, and repairs, including documentation of compliance with regulatory requirements.
7. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, including responding to customer inquiries and concerns.
8. Safety: Ensure a safe working environment, adhering to company safety policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Certifications: NICET, NFPA, or other relevant certifications may be required.
- Experience: Previous experience in fire pump installation, maintenance, and repair is preferred.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of fire pump systems, NFPA standards, and local regulations.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
Physical Demands:
- Physical Labor: Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
- Work Environment: Ability to work in a variety of environments, including industrial, commercial, and residential settings.
