Overview

**This position will be physically located in Kuwait in support of LOGCAP**

The Compliance Supervisor primary responsibilities include conducting inspections/audits to ensure compliance to environmental regulations. Typically dealing with regulatory agencies, investigation environmental findings and assessing environmental impacts. Develop mitigation plans, creation/review of documentation related to environmental processes and procedures i.e. WI, plans, forms, manuals. Provides environmental support not only to V2X but the USG, Subcontractors, and other Contractors in the following areas: drinking water, wastewater, hazardous material, hazardous waste, and solid waste. The Compliance Supervisor will also oversee training and development for Environmental Specialist and Technical Monitors provides counseling and feedback to personnel. Perform site assessments/inspections and audits to ensure compliance with all applicable environmental and DoD regulations. Interaction with the USG is a must. Provides and ensures data reported is accurate and submitted in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the V2X Program.

+ Compliance Supervisors are responsible for the direct reports, working conditions, time-card approvals, vacation request(s), scheduling transportation. Assist with hiring, training, providing documented feedback, shift schedules. Performance documentation, counseling, and termination of employees. Training entails inspection/audit techniques, calendars, proper reporting, conducting assessments and mitigation.

+ Other duties entail ensuring regulations are kept updated and available for the employees use. When requested providing legal standards to ensure customers and organizations follow the laws in place to protect the environment. Complete weekly data reports and conduct quality checks of the data to ensure accuracy and completeness.

+ Compliance Supervisor will plan, support, and ensure the required training is provided V2X, USG, Subcontractors, as well as other Contractors be compliant with the required practices.

+ Ensure environmental compliance on sites assessing and understanding environmental compliance needs, assist in developing environmental compliance plans, assessing properties and facilities for environmental compliance, proactively executing environmental mitigation plans as needed.

+ Supervise and Monitor use of Environmental Management practices in the workplace.

+ Coordinate and assist installation and all tenant units with environmental needs, as required.

+ Sets primary example to the workforce by following all Environmental Safety and Health regulations, policies, procedures and practices.

+ The ability to effectively communicate both written/orally. Interacts with the USG representing V2X professionally and communicating all outcomes/interactions to your Leadership. Check and respond to emails on a daily following up as required.

+ Other additional duties may be assigned as required.

Qualifications

+ Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

+ High School Diploma

+ Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license from country of origin for the purpose of obtaining and maintaining a valid Military Driver License, Kuwait Heavy

+ Driver License and Taseria required if it can be attained.

+ Must be able to communicate in English, both written and oral.

+ Preferred Certifications: Prior Environmental Supervision Experience, 24HR HAZWOPER, Train the trainer certification

+ Experience:

+ Minimum of three (3) years' compliance, contract management, subcontract management, safety or environmental experience.

+ Minimum of two (2) years inspecting/auditing experience preferred.

+ Prefer two (2) to five (5) years in overseas contracting environment highly desirable.

+ Skills:

+ Attention to detail and strong communication, analytical, reporting and decision-making skills.

+ The ability to work both individually and in teams is also important.

+ A Compliance Supervisor should be particularly vigilant in following up to ensure that developed plans addressing compliance issues and problems have been implemented.

+ Proactive, hands-on strategic thinker who is approachable and comfortable working in partnership with all levels of staff.

+ Able to work effectively and productively in a professional team environment.

+ Ability to work independently and exhibits sound and accurate judgment.

+ Demonstrated flexibility and openness in responding to changing work priorities.

+ Planning and project management skills, and capable of multi-tasking in a dynamic environment; attention to detail and follow-up

+ Self-motived with excellent organizational skills. Ability to think critically and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

+ Accuracy and the ability to communicate clearly and attention to detail are a must.

+ Strong skill in effective verbal and written communications, including active listening skills and skills in presenting audit findings and recommendations.

+ Ability to inspire and motivate participants and help them overcome barriers.

+ Ability to interpret statutes, regulations and guidelines.

+ Skilled in collecting and analyzing complex data, evaluating information and systems, and drawing logical conclusions.

+ Comfortable managing large data sets: Understanding of levels of potential risks and how to address each risk.

+ Maintain all organizational and professional ethical standards.

+ Ability to challenge current practices and provide feedback in a constructive manner with the goal of improving efficiency and operational excellence of the program.

+ Skilled in negotiating issues and resolving problems; and Strategic thinking.

+ Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to the cultural/ethnic diversity of the service population and to be sensitive to the needs of special populations.

+ Supervisory Responsibilities:

+ Full supervisory responsibilities over Environmental Specialist and Technical Monitors to include scheduling, training and tasking.

+ Working Conditions:

+ Must be capable of working in an extreme weather condition with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.

+ Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).

+ Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.

+ Physical Requirements:

+ Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.

+ If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.

+ Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices. Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
