JOB TITLE: COMPLETION ENGINEER KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Work and supervise all activities related to completion and workover in Drilling Group to efficiently carry out all preparations, implementation and close-out projects. Prepare work program and budget to meet Client Management expectation. Participate in tender works including preparation of detailed technical specifications, execution of technical and commercial evaluation and support to establish contracts for all well completion/workover related services and purchase. Be responsible for work order preparation and coordinate with service contractors on technical matters. Work as well site completion/workover engineer to support the rig operations in a safe and efficient manner. Prepare all technical documents including work instruction, program and end of well reports. Completion/Workover Preparations xc2xb7 Prepare well completion/workover programs (AFA and DOG) to ensure that such operations can be safely and efficiently achieved. xc2xb7 Execute and adhere to Development Unit Operation Management System (BOOMS) to meet all requirements related for rig operations. xc2xb7 Prepare equipment and procedural changes through Management of Change process to increase operational efficiency of the overall operations. xc2xb7 Prepare detailed technical specifications required in bid documents for completion/workover related services and materials. xc2xb7 Participate in technical and commercial evaluations for all well completion/workover related services and materials while bid evaluation stage. In addition, prepare technical and award recommendation reports to be submitted to Drilling & Operations Superintendent for his endorsement. xc2xb7 Participate in a pre-spud meeting in town and on rig. xc2xb7 Attend and participate in technical and HAZID/SIMOPS workshops as well as a peer review meeting to discuss well program. xc2xb7 Prepare work program and budget including year-end best cost estimation. xc2xb7 Technically support Drilling & Operations Superintendent and Drilling Engineers for all aspects on well completion/workover planning. Drilling Operations and Executions xc2xb7 Supervise well completion/workover operations as set forth in approved program and in compliance with code of practices, applicable regulations and International Accepted Petroleum Industry Practices. xc2xb7 Ensure that all well objectives are delivered in a manner that safeguards the health and safety of all personnel on the rig, the environment and protection of Client assets. xc2xb7 Prepare any major change of the well completion/workover program in accordance with "Management of Change" process. xc2xb7 Review "Daily Drilling and Well Workover Report" and monitor and evaluate well conditions. xc2xb7 Attend a day-to-day communication with a drilling rig and service contractors and provide timely direction at various aspects. xc2xb7 Support Drilling & Operations Superintendent for any critical operations required as result of Management of Change. xc2xb7 Support response team in the event of an emergency and/or oil spill situation. xc2xb7 Take role of the Well-Site Completion/ Workover Engineer during slickline, well intervention, sealant repair. Cased hole logging, coiled tubing, stimulation, flow-back, well testing and any other operation when deemed necessary. xc2xb7 Ensure all necessary equipment and service contractor personnel to meet the time frame required. xc2xb7 Be responsible for inspecting and evaluating performance of service contractor personnel to meet contractual requirements. Health, Safety, & Environment xc2xb7 Ensure compliance with all applicable Client Health, Safety and Environmental policies, standards and procedures related to drilling operations subject to a HSE bridging document agreed with rig contractor. xc2xb7 Ensure that all Simultaneous Operations (SIMOPs) activities are performed in a safe manner in compliance with Client procedures if applicable. xc2xb7 Attend and participate in all safely meetings, and pre-job safety meetings to ensure that any risks associated with performing any tasks are reduced to as low as reasonably practical. Promote the right to stop work, if hazards are likely to cause an incident, to all personnel. xc2xb7 Participate in investigation of incidents including root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions as one of HSE response team members. xc2xb7 Prepare Hazard Identification report if any critical and high risk operations associated with any change in well completion/workover program and equipment are expected, which shall be a part of Management of Change document. xc2xb7 Carry out a walk-though inspection to identify hazards at work site for proactive incident prevention. xc2xb7 Review and revise BOOMS to meet all requirements for Client operations and in compliance with updated ADNOC Code of Practices if required. Monitoring and Reporting of Drilling Projects xc2xb7 Prepare Basis of Well Completion/Workover Design, completion string tallies and any well completion/workover related programs. xc2xb7 Review daily instruction proposed by Senior Drilling Supervisor to ensure all works to be done in line with approved work program and/or management of change. xc2xb7 Monitor the daily costs to ensure cost effective operations and within approved budget. xc2xb7 Prepare all lesson learned for future operational improvement. xc2xb7 Monitor the progress of the rig operations and prepare daily look-ahead sheet including all logistics requirements together with Drilling Engineer. xc2xb7 Review daily operational costs and contractors' performance including, but not limited to quality of work, planning effectiveness, responsibilities, timelines, communication, standards of the Contractors in order to ensure that the objectives of the projects are met in line with approved parameters. xc2xb7 Prepare final end of well report together with a Drilling Engineer. xc2xb7 Prepare contractor performance appraisal. xc2xb7 Attend a post-drilling meeting with key personnel assigned to the well program including the service contractors. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS Knowledge xc2xb7 Higher education qualifications, preferably with a Engineering Degree e.g. Mechanical, Petroleum, Mining or equivalent with a good understanding of well construction process including well control and ability to analyze problems. xc2xb7 Possess higher knowledge on slickline, xc2xb7 Fully understand all aspects of well construction engineering, operations, management, HSE xc2xb7 management and logistics. xc2xb7 Have a strong contractor management skill to establish best suitable organization and contracting strategy for the particular project. xc2xb7 Fully understand ISO14001/OHSAS 18001 model HSE Management System to cost effectively and systematically manage the program in a sound safe and environmentally friendly manner. xc2xb7 Understand various aspects of new technologies on well completion/workover projects. xc2xb7 Familiar with HSE standards and procedures and HSE cultures. xc2xb7 Have capacity to carry out bidding process including technical and commercial evaluation with minimum supervision. Experience xc2xb7 10 years' work experience in offshore completion and workover activities across multiple well locations. A minimum 3 years in a well-site engineer position for jack-up well construction activity. xc2xb7 Experience for offshore drilling and workover operations under HS environment. xc2xb7 Experience operation in middle-east offshore and be familiar with the potential risks and issues.
