Be a team member of the Community Order Officer team to support various community events based on demographics and overall needs and priorities.
Represent the interests and concerns of community members when security or crisis situations arise.
Provide confidential support to individuals and groups within the community.
Gather, maintain and disseminate information to the community, supervisor, and appropriate functional offices to enhance overall awareness of stakeholders.
Represent individual and/or collective concerns as appropriate and help formulate solutions and implement individual, group, and/or family friendly policies for the betterment of the community.
Demonstrate independence, self-initiative, flexibility, open-mindedness, and commitment to serve a community population that is undergoing a major transition.

Participate in scheduled emergency drills and planning to be prepared for any potential emergency response required.
Participate in daily shift briefings to review assignments and duties.
Perform light clerical duties, utilize communication protocols, and available software platforms to compile situational reports related to community activities.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED
Must be a U.S. citizen
Two years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in community development, social work, EMT, Peace Corps, safety, security, military, law enforcement, or similar experience.
Great attitude and team player
Good organization and communication skills- verbal and written
Ability to work flexible schedule of varying days and hours
Successful completion of the background screening process
Must be able to pass a physical and psychological examination
Must be able to pass a fitness test to demonstrate a level of fitness needed to excel in the position
Skilled in working with diverse teams
Empathetic to the plight of at risk communities
Adept at communicating with a multigenerational community of displaced person
Must be able to perform the following physical and mental tasks:
Visual acuity (e.g., needed to prepare and analyze data, to transcribe documents, to view a computer, to read, to inspect objects, to operate machinery).

Ability to read complex documents in the English language.
