Senior Community Order Officer (SR-COO)

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise a team of the Community Order Officer team to support various community events based on demographics and overall needs and priorities.
  • Oversee and implement a protection and safety program having a direct impact on morale, productivity, community spirit, and overall well-being in an unknown environment.
  • Provide a secure and safe environment for community members and stakeholders. Relay sensitive and critical information to team leadership.
  • Prevent unauthorized visitors and property damage while providing oversight for general facility safety.
  • Represent the interests and concerns of community members when security or crisis situations arise.
  • Provide confidential support to individuals and groups within the community.
  • Gather, maintain, and disseminate information to the community, supervisor, and appropriate functional offices to enhance overall awareness of stakeholders.
  • Represent individual and/or collective concerns as appropriate and help formulate solutions and implement individual, group, and/or family friendly policies for the betterment of the community.
  • Demonstrate independence, self-initiative, flexibility, open-mindedness, and commitment to serve a community population that is undergoing a major life transition.
  • Exhibit adaptability and a willingness to sensitively communicate when confronting challenges.
  • Demonstrate empathy and a willingness to view situations from multiple perspectives.
  • Possess an attitude of cultural awareness, humility, and curiosity towards other cultures.
  • Conduct community-based projects based on locally identified needs.
  • Conduct assigned inspections, investigations, patrols, escorts, and compiling daily shift reports.
  • Lead and participate in scheduled emergency drills and planning to be prepared for any potential emergency response.
  • Provide immediate first aid, CPR, and be ready to assist during emergencies as necessary.
  • Participate in leading daily shift briefings to review assignments and duties.
  • Perform light clerical duties, develop and utilize communication protocols, and utilize available software platform to compile situational reports related to community activities.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED, advanced studies and/or certifications are most welcome
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • One year of demonstrated supervisory experience.
  • Two years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in community development, social work, EMT, Peace Corps, safety, security, military, law enforcement, or similar experience.
  • Great attitude and team player
  • Good organization and communication skills- verbal and written
  • Ability to work flexible schedule of varying days and hours
  • Successful completion of the background screening process
  • Must be able to pass a physical and psychological examination
  • Must be able to pass a fitness test to demonstrate a level of fitness needed to excel in the position

Must be able to perform the following physical and mental tasks:
  • Visual acuity (e.g., needed to prepare and analyze data, to transcribe documents, to view a computer, to read, to inspect objects, to operate machinery).
  • Capacity to think, concentrate and focus for long periods of time.
  • Ability to read complex documents in the English language.
  • Capacity to reason and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to write complex documents in the English language.
  • Capacity to express thoughts orally.
  • Ability to wear a mask, respirator, bullet proof vest, or other equipment.
  • Ability to regularly perform all job functions at Company\xe2\x80\x99s office or worksite.
  • Ability to withstand environmental conditions (e.g. extreme heat or cold, grass, wind, sand, fumes, odors, gases, extreme noise, etc.)
