Growing from a team of under ten consultants, APCO today has over 200 people from 26 countries working in teams across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Manama, and Kuwait. Our projects also take us to Cairo, Amman and other markets in the Levant. With a portfolio of over 100 clients, APCOs MEA offices deliver public relations and digital communication support across health care, food, consumer & retail, finance, technology, real estate & hospitality, non-profit and public affairs practices. The region also offers specialized services, created for the Middle East, such as our Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model and our Compass and License to Operate offerings. In addition, APCOs global AI Comms Lab, a first-of-its-kind innovation center which utilizes artificial intelligence to build and protect the reputations of major global brands, governments and organizations is driven from the Dubai office. From helping governments connect with the private sector and civil society, to supporting the Popes historic visit to the region, and launching iconic brands and destinations, we understand the nuances of the Middle East, and pride ourselves on making an impact.

The role :

The intern will be responsible for supporting the assigned team with specific projects. Responsibilities will include Internet research, mailing coordination, organizing meetings, reports and database development and follow up for client events (media or participants). The intern will report to the assigned project staff member and/or the Intern Coordinator. Intern will be a high achiever, capable of meticulous information gathering on client requests and matters, of leveraging tools and resources available to conduct the research needed, and provide a thorough review of content. He/She will assist in mailing, database development, event coordination, media call-downs, drafting client material, and in developing reports when required. The Intern should maintain confidentiality of client and firm information, and strictly comply with ethical standards and company policies. He/She will demonstrate professionalism and poise throughout the duration of your internship. Most importantly, the intern will demonstrate a proven ability to work well with all colleagues, and be willing to help the team members/peers when necessary, even if this falls outside the remit of your role. Requirements:
Undergraduate university degree and hold prior short-term experience with another communications agency or organization (good to have but not necessary),
Must be able to travel to the assigned office location and back.
