Communications Intern 3 Months

Job Description
PRM, a leading media production company, is seeking a part-time (4 days per week) Communications Intern to join our team for a 2 to 3-month term. In this role, you will work alongside our experienced communications professionals to work on a number of communications projects that will involve either internal, external or sustainability communications strategies. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the media production industry and to develop your communications skills in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing communications strategies and plans
- Draft and edit a variety of communications materials, including press releases, blog posts, and social media content
- Support the planning and execution of events and campaigns
- Monitor media coverage and prepare analysis reports
- Provide administrative support to the communications team, including scheduling meetings and maintaining databases
- Research industry best practices and provide recommendations to improve our communications efforts
- Assist with other communications projects and tasks as assigned
- Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a communications or related university course
- Completed at least one year of tertiary study at a recognized university
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital communications tools
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Interest in media production and the entertainment industry
