Assist in basic food preparation (e.g., chopping vegetables, marinating, portioning ingredients).
Support senior chefs with cooking, plating, and presentation of dishes.
Ensure mise en place (ingredients and tools) is ready before each service.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations at all times.
Follow standard recipes, portion control, and presentation guidelines.
Handle and store food items properly to prevent spoilage or contamination.
Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and utensils after use.
Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations (HACCP or equivalent).
Assist in receiving, checking, and storing kitchen supplies and deliveries.
Carry out tasks assigned by the Chef de Partie or Kitchen Supervisor efficiently and accurately.
Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent (culinary diploma preferred).
Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
0-1 year of experience in a kitchen or food production environment preferred.
Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
