Cummi 2 Chef - Hot Kitchen

Job Summary:

The Chef is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting food items according to the restaurant's standards. The role requires attention to detail, consistency in food quality, and maintaining a clean and organized work area while following all food safety and hygiene regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards. Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality expectations. Assist in daily mise en place (preparation of ingredients and cooking stations). Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, utensils, and equipment. Monitor food stock and report shortages to the Sous Chef or Head Chef. Minimize food waste and follow cost control procedures. Cooperate with other kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operation. Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Head Chef.

Qualifications & Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience as a cook in a professional kitchen. Knowledge of basic cooking methods, knife skills, and kitchen safety standards. Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency. Good communication and teamwork skills. Strong time management and multitasking abilities. Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.

Work Schedule:

Rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Pay: AED2,000.00 per month
