The Junior Sous Chef will assist the Sous Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring consistency, quality, and creativity in every dish served.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Sous Chef in day-to-day operations of the Hot Kitchen.
Supervise and guide junior team members, ensuring standards of food preparation and presentation are consistently maintained.
Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety regulations at all times.
Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and costing.
Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and control wastage.
Maintain a high level of efficiency and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
Step in and lead the section in the absence of the Sous Chef.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef in a hot kitchen environment.
Strong culinary skills with knowledge of international and local cuisines.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards.
Culinary diploma or relevant certification is preferred.
