As a Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities, managing key client relationships, and overseeing business development initiatives in the geotechnical engineering industry. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep industry knowledge, strong leadership skills, and a proven ability to deliver profitable projects.

Key Responsibilities?

Develop and implement business strategies to expand market share in the geotechnical engineering sector. Identify the potential client opportunities in construction (piling, ground improvement, shoring and dewatering) and heavy machine rental & sales (crane, drilling rig, etc.). Manage bid preparation, proposal development, and contract negotiations for construction projects. Collaborate with engineering, project management and commercial teams to ensure alignment with business goals. Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscapes to identify growth opportunities. Oversee budgets, financial planning, and performance metrics for business units. Build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors and suppliers. Ensure compliance with industry standards. Organize and promote industry events or trade shows to showcase company expertise and build relationships with client and potential client.

Qualifications & Requirements?

Bachelor's degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (MBA or equivalent preferred). Minimum of 4 years of experience in business development or management within the civil/geotechnical engineering industry. Fluency in English (written and spoken);additional languages are a plus. Strong understanding of construction processes, project management, and industry-specific regulations. Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Proven track record in securing contracts, managing bids, and delivering profitable projects. Ability to travel for client meetings and site visits as required.
