In-depth knowledge and experience in contract commercial management of projects at both tender/procurement and post-contract stages. Experience in the Middle East construction market over the last 4-5 years is preferable. Good understanding of common law contract commercial and fiduciary principles, with a minimum of 15 years post-qualification experience. Excellent written English skills for preparing contracts, task orders, contract letters, notices, and communications. Strong negotiation skills to agree contracts with clients, contractors, and subcontractors. Previous experience working with government departments, client-side, or contractor roles. Experience with large company project financial control systems and understanding of internal governance procedures. Attention to detail, with the ability to review invoices and contracts prior to issuance. Desirable Criteria
Degree in a relevant discipline or legal qualification. Professional memberships such as MCIOB, MRICS, or MCIArb. Knowledge of PMIS systems. Contract interpretation and advice skills. Experience in client and stakeholder management. Ability to produce executive-level reports. Experience in internal project and financial management, governance, resource management, and managing technical teams. Experience maintaining revenue, cost, margin, and headcount forecasts, and reporting on project performance. Skills in leveraging project commercial performance to optimize revenues and costs. Ensuring time charges are properly captured and invoiced on time. The Individual
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or Law from a recognized university. Chartered QS (MRICS) qualification is mandatory. Experience with FIDIC contracts. Strong contractual, commercial, and financial knowledge. Minimum of 15 years in contracts and commercial management, pre- and post-contract. At least 10 years of experience working as a consultant or client. Preferably, 4 years of Middle East experience. Project management skills, good communication, and presentation skills.
