This position is responsible for marketing, leasing, and negotiating lease agreements for commercial properties such as office spaces, retail centers, industrial buildings, and mixed-use developments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the commercial real estate market and exceptional negotiation and client relationship skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Prospect and secure new tenants for available commercial properties
Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor offerings, and rental rates
Market commercial spaces through online platforms, signage, broker networks, and direct outreach
Show properties to prospective tenants and provide detailed information on space, zoning, and lease terms
Negotiate lease terms and conditions with tenants, brokers, and landlords
Prepare letters of intent (LOIs), lease agreements, and other leasing documentation
Collaborate with property management and ownership to ensure tenant needs are met
Build strong relationships with local businesses, commercial brokers, and industry professionals
Maintain accurate records of tenant interactions, vacancies, leads, and leasing activity
Ensure compliance with all real estate laws, zoning regulations, and company policies
Qualifications:
Proven experience in commercial leasing, brokerage, or commercial real estate sales
Valid real estate license (as required by local or state law)
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of commercial property types (retail, office, industrial) and lease structures (NNN, gross, modified gross)
Ability to interpret site plans, zoning regulations, and lease contracts
Proficiency with CRM software, Microsoft Office, and leasing platforms (e.g., CoStar, LoopNet)
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet leasing goals
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, or related field
Existing network of local tenants, brokers, or landlords
Experience working with REITs, property management firms, or commercial developers
