Commercial Internship
The Business and Relationship Management (\xe2\x80\x9cBRM\xe2\x80\x9d) Group is currently seeking an Intern based out of our Dubai office.

The BRM Group leads the business development and marketing efforts for Fitch Ratings across the Middle East. It is responsible for the development of the Ratings portfolio, specifically focused on originating new business, relationship management and retention, and developing strategies to support long-term sustainable growth. The teams\' remit is broad covering issuers within Banks, Non-Banking Financial Institutions, Insurance, Government-Related Entities and Private sector Corporates across multiple sectors.

We\'ll Count on You To:
The intern\'s responsibilities will be broken into three areas:

Business Development:

• Assist in conducting market research to identify potential clients, market trends, and competitor analysis.
• Support the development and implementation of business development strategies to generate new leads and expand the customer base.
• Assist in creating and updating marketing collaterals, presentations, and sales materials.
• Participate in client meetings and presentations to learn about client acquisition and relationship management processes.

Events Management:

• Assist in organising and coordinating company events, including conferences, seminars, and client workshops.
• Collaborate with the events team to plan and execute marketing initiatives and promotional activities.
• Support logistics for events, such as venue selection, catering arrangements, and audiovisual requirements.
• Assist in tracking event budgets, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring smooth event operations.

Customer Relationship Management (CRM):

• Assist in maintaining and updating customer databases in the CRM system.
• Support the team in managing client communication and engagement activities.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure customer data accuracy and consistency.
• Help analyse customer data and generate reports to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

What You Need to Have:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor\'s or master\'s degree in business administration, finance, marketing, or a related field.
• Strong interest in the financial services industry and a desire to learn about business development, events management, and CRM.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently and professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM systems.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proactive and able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Prior experience or coursework in business development, events management, or CRM is a plus.

What Would Make You Stand Out:

• Knowledge of the financial services industry and/or debt capital markets
• Knowledge of capital market data systems such as Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, Dealogic, etc.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, verbal & written in English. Arabic language skills are a plus.
• Highly proactive, organised and self-motivated: ability to generate ideas and demonstrate initiative, tenacity and perseverance both individually and within a team.
• Knowledge of the UAE/GCC business environment is an added value.
