. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, tendering, cost control, procurement, claims, and reporting. A deep understanding of
local market conditions, regulatory requirements, and construction practices in the UAE
is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage commercial activities across multiple construction projects.
Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents.
Oversee contract administration in line with FIDIC and UAE regulations.
Coordinate with quantity surveyors for BOQs and interim payments.
Lead procurement processes and negotiate with subcontractors and vendors.
Track project budgets and ensure alignment with financial objectives.
Prepare, evaluate, and defend claims and variations.
Generate accurate commercial reports and forecasts for management.
Liaise with clients, consultants, and local authorities.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's in Construction Management or related field is a plus).
10+ years of proven experience in a commercial engineering role within the UAE construction industry.
Solid knowledge of FIDIC contracts and UAE commercial laws.
Strong skills in cost management, project finance, and contractual negotiations.
Experience in large-scale civil/infrastructure projects (residential, commercial, roads, etc.).
Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project management tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
Experience with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle is preferred.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
