Primary purpose of job
This position plays a critical role in leading on Climate Change strategy to assure that QatarEnergy Climate Change
performance is on a par with the oil and gas industry leading companies and in line with Qatar National Vision 2030 and
National Development Strategies of the State.
Experience & Skills
A minimum 15 years of professional experience in oil and gas industry and 10 years in management of climate related
initiatives and projects in oil and gas allied industries (minimum of 5 years' experience is required in a supervisory
role/position).
Understanding of GRI/IPIECA reporting standards, TCFD recommendations in context to implementation in oil & gas
industry.
In-depth knowledge of management systems such as ISO14001 and experience with external certification bodies.
Education
BSc in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering (or relevant degree) with post graduate degree preferred.
