To support Serco\xe2\x80\x99s continuous growth, our team at Zayed University in Abu Dhabi are looking for a Civil Technician who will ensure satisfactory completion of minor planned and reactive maintenance works across several disciplines contained in and around the Project.

In the Middle East, we employ more than 5,500 people across four countries including the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Iraq. Our employees remain our greatest asset.

Key accountabilities
Carry out the planned and reactive maintenance on defective doors, windows, glazing and locking systems, gain emergency access to locked rooms, assist with minor churn and moves and changes
Carry out repairs to FF&E, and carry out metal fabrication works as required.
Assist in monitoring, inspections and recording of asset conditions, and updating records as required.
Ensure that a clean and tidy working environment is maintained at all time by controlling tools, materials and waste products.
Support the duties for planned and reactive maintenance schedule, both internally and externally to the property across several disciplines, not limited to; HVAC, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Civil works.

What we are looking for in our candidates:
Able to foster good relations with colleagues and other departments and be a good team player.
Flexibility, excellent attention to detail and ability to identify key issues.
Able to work under stringent deadlines and high-pressure environment.

Specific requirements
Minimum 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a building service and/or facilities management environment.
Must hold relevant and recognized qualifications in a technical discipline or equivalent.
Proven experience in painting, masonry, gypsum work, ceiling work, tiles work, metal fabrication work, FF&E inspection and building condition survey.
