Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Civil Quantity Surveyor and Planning Engineer to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Civil Quantity Surveyor:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for-

Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects, considering materials, labor, and equipment Conduct on-site measurements and quantity take-offs to ensure precision in cost calculations Analyze contract documents, drawings, and specifications to identify potential cost implications Manage contract administration, including change orders, variations, and claims Prepare and review interim and final payment applications Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to optimize project costs Assist in the resolution of contractual and financial disputes Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations in Dubai The ideal candidate should have experience in quantity take off during the pre and post tendering process. Review, scrutinize and evaluate the drawings and documents in order to prepare the Bill of Quantities Send Request for Quotation (RFQ's) to various suppliers in order to get the accurate costs prior to calculation of Tender Prices Identify and send enquiries to different subcontractor packages and compare the quotations against the approved drawings and finalize the subcontractor agreements Prepare and approve the subcontractor invoices prior to transfer the invoices for payments Prepare and verify the variation claims in consultation with Civil Engineers and submit the supported documentation to consultant and follow up for their approvals.

Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering Minimum 3-5 years of experience in quantity surveying Well versed in Microsoft Excel, Planswift and Autocad softwares. Strong mathematical and analytical skills Excellent communication and negotiation skills In-depth knowledge of construction methods and materials Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and UAE construction laws

Planning Engineer:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, monitoring project progress, coordinating with internal teams and subcontractors, and providing accurate planning input to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:



Prepare and update project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project. Develop detailed project plans, baseline programs, and recovery schedules. Monitor project progress and compare with baseline schedule. Prepare look-ahead programs, critical path analysis, and delay impact reports. Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to gather project updates. Identify potential risks or delays and propose mitigation strategies. Generate regular progress reports for management and clients. Assist in claims preparation and extension of time (EOT) submissions. Ensure planning and scheduling deliverables comply with contract requirements. Attend progress meetings and provide planning insights for decision-making.

Qualifications & Requirements:



Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field. Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience in planning and scheduling within the construction industry, preferably in the UAE or GCC. Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Office Suite (especially Excel). Solid understanding of construction methodologies and project management. Strong knowledge of FIDIC and UAE construction regulations. Experience in preparing EOT claims, and forensic delay analysis is an advantage. Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
He should be highly organized and able to work under pressure with minimum or no supervision.
