Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating civil engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and according to quality standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse infrastructure projects, including water treatment, wastewater management, pipelines, and land development. The Civil Project Engineer will utilize advanced technical skills and project management expertise to deliver innovative solutions that meet client needs and industry standards.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee all phases of civil engineering projects from conception through completion, including planning, design, and construction management. Develop detailed project schedules using project scheduling tools to ensure timely delivery of milestones. Prepare and review construction schematics, drawings, and technical documentation utilizing AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, and other CAD software. Conduct or supervise construction inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety regulations. Coordinate with geotechnical engineers, land surveyors, and other specialists to integrate system design elements such as hydraulics, geotechnical considerations, and GIS data. Utilize GIS (ArcGIS, Esri) and other spatial analysis tools for site analysis and planning purposes. Prepare accurate construction estimates using construction estimating techniques and tools like Mathcad or similar software. Manage project documentation including technical writing of reports, schematics, and system design documents. Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve technical issues related to hydraulics, water treatment systems, wastewater treatment processes, or pipeline installation. Ensure adherence to project schedules by coordinating resources effectively across multiple disciplines such as mechanical engineering and civil engineering.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; PE license preferred. Proven experience in project management within civil engineering sectors such as water/wastewater treatment or pipeline systems. Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, ArcGIS, Schematics software, HEC models, SWMM, and other relevant technical tools. Strong knowledge of construction management practices including construction inspection procedures. Familiarity with geotechnical engineering principles and land surveying techniques. Ability to perform complex math calculations related to hydraulics and system design. Excellent technical writing skills for preparing reports and project documentation. Experience with project scheduling software such as MS Project or Primavera is a plus. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
