Project Planning and Scheduling:

Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned engineering projects to ensure timely delivery.

Compliance Monitoring:

Ensure compliance with applicable codes, practices, quality assurance (QA) policies, performance standards, and specifications throughout the project lifecycle.

Client Interaction:

Interact daily with clients to interpret their needs and requirements while representing them in the field.

Quality Control:

Perform overall quality control of the work by monitoring budgets, schedules, plans, and personnel performance; report regularly on project status.

Team Management:

Assign responsibilities within the project team and mentor team members to enhance their skills.

Technical Support:

Cooperate and communicate effectively with project managers and other participants to provide assistance and technical support as needed.

Review Engineering Deliverables:

Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions when necessary.

Skills Requirements

Educational Background:

A Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering or a related field is typically required.

Experience:

Proven working experience as a Project Engineer with at least 8-9years in the construction industry is preferred.

Software Proficiency:

Excellent knowledge of design software such as AutoCAD; familiarity with MS Office Suite tools is essential. Experience with scheduling software like Primavera (P6) is advantageous.

Communication Skills:

Strong communication abilities are critical for effective interaction with clients, team members, and stakeholders.

Leadership Skills:

Demonstrated leadership capabilities along with decision-making skills are necessary for managing teams effectively.

Additional Qualifications

Current engineer license may be required depending on jurisdiction. Understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to civil engineering projects is crucial.
