Position Overview
Civil Inspector job in Abu Dhabi supporting operations and maintenance supervision for large-scale infrastructure and community assets. Key Responsibilities
Conduct field inspections, tests, evaluations, and verifications of O&M contractor activities related to civil systems.
Inspect and monitor roads, roadway signage, pedestrian bridges, canals, beach maintenance, plant nursery areas, security gates, and associated logistics facilities.
Oversee daily routine operations and maintenance works carried out by O&M contractors and identify defects or required corrective actions.
Provide civil inspection support to landscape, electrical, and mechanical inspectors as required.
Ensure all civil and structural works are executed in strict accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
Prepare inspection reports, progress reports, and site records as required by the contract, client, or PMC staff.
Maintain a detailed daily diary covering work activities, approvals, rejections, labor, equipment usage, and site issues.
Coordinate daily with contractors to monitor performance and ensure proper execution of works.
Interface with the public and adjacent stakeholders to minimize disruption and construction impacts.
Report non-compliant workmanship, unsafe practices, or questionable construction methods to the Assistant Resident Engineer or Resident Engineer.
Process inspection requests and maintain accurate records of their status.
Maintain detailed day works records where applicable.
Act professionally and firmly in all dealings with contractors and site personnel.
Ideal Profile
Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Agricultural Engineering from a recognized institution.
UAE Ministry of Education equivalency certificate is mandatory.
Minimum 4 years of experience inspecting infrastructure or landscape O&M projects.
Proven experience working on Abu Dhabi or UAE-based infrastructure projects.
