Job Description

Job Summary:

The Civil Helper assists skilled civil workers, such as engineers, masons, carpenters, and other construction professionals, in performing tasks related to construction, maintenance, and repair of infrastructure projects including buildings, roads, bridges, and drainage systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Support civil engineers and skilled workers on construction sites. Prepare and organize construction materials and tools. Load and unload construction materials and move them to work areas. Assist in measuring, marking, and laying out materials according to plans. Dig trenches, level ground, and perform basic earthworks. Mix, pour, and spread concrete, asphalt, and other materials. Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and hazard-free environment. Perform other general labor duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). Previous experience in construction or manual labor (an asset but not required). Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team. Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials and work long hours. Knowledge of basic construction tools and materials. Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Work Environment:

Outdoor construction sites with exposure to dust, noise, and machinery. May involve extended periods of standing, lifting, and bending.
