Oversee daily site operations related to civil work (excavation, concreting, blockwork, plastering, etc.)
Monitor work progress and ensure it aligns with project timelines.
Ensure quality and compliance with design specifications and standards.
2. Team Management
Supervise and coordinate the work of skilled and unskilled laborers, masons, carpenters, steel fixers, etc.
Allocate tasks to workers based on their skills and work schedules.
Motivate and manage teams to maintain productivity and discipline on-site.
3. Planning & Coordination
Coordinate with site engineers, safety officers, and subcontractors.
Arrange materials, tools, and equipment in advance to avoid delays.
Prepare daily work plans and provide updates to project engineers or managers.
4. Quality Control
Ensure civil work is done as per approved drawings, method statements, and quality standards.
Check levels, measurements, shuttering, reinforcement, and concrete works.
Report any non-conformities or issues to the site engineer or project manager.
5. Safety Compliance
Enforce safety rules and regulations on the construction site.
Conduct toolbox talks and ensure the use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
Immediately report accidents or unsafe conditions.
6. Reporting
Maintain daily work progress reports.
Record attendance and labor productivity.
Report site issues or delays to higher management promptly.
7. Site Readiness
Ensure the site is clean, organized, and safe for all personnel.
Coordinate site preparation for inspections and handovers.
8. Skills Required
Good knowledge of civil construction techniques and equipment.
Ability to read technical drawings and site layouts.
Leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Basic knowledge of health & safety regulations in the UAE.
