Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fit-Out Engineer with a strong background in retail design and execution to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the complete lifecycle of fit-out projects for Dubai Islamic Bank's retail branches and other commercial spaces, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to design specifications, budget control, and compliance with all relevant regulations. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent project management skills, and a deep understanding of retail aesthetics and functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Design Review:
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., branding, operations, IT) and external consultants (e.g., architects, interior designers) to understand project requirements and design briefs for new branches, renovations, and retail space enhancements.
Review and provide technical input on architectural and interior design drawings, ensuring practicality, constructability, and alignment with DIB's brand guidelines and operational needs.
Evaluate proposed materials, finishes, and systems for suitability, durability, and cost-effectiveness in a retail banking environment.
Project Management & Execution:
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for all assigned fit-out projects.
Manage and supervise on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to design specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and project timelines.
Coordinate effectively with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure seamless project execution.
Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or issues, and implement corrective actions proactively.
Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks, preparing progress reports and snag lists.
Budget & Cost Control:
Assist in the preparation of tender documents, evaluate bids, and recommend suitable contractors and suppliers.
Monitor project expenditures against budget, identify cost-saving opportunities, and manage variations.
Process invoices and ensure accurate financial reconciliation for all projects.
Stakeholder Management & Communication:
Act as the primary point of contact for all fit-out related matters for assigned projects.
Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and challenges.
Facilitate meetings and ensure clear communication channels between all parties involved.
Compliance & Handover:
Ensure all fit-out projects comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and DIB's internal policies.
Oversee the testing and commissioning of all systems and equipment.
Manage project close-out, including snagging, defect rectification, and final handover to the operations team.
Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including as-built drawings, manuals, and warranties.
Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience as a Fit-Out Engineer, with a strong and demonstrated background in retail shop/branch fit-out projects.
Proven experience in managing multiple fit-out projects simultaneously from concept to completion.
In-depth knowledge of local building regulations, codes, and health & safety standards in the UAE.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and AutoCAD.
Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, finishes, and MEP systems relevant to retail environments.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Fluency in English is required; Arabic is a plus.
