Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Civil Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for civil engineering projects, including infrastructure, residential, and commercial works. This role requires strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of construction methods, and the ability to work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Review project drawings, specifications, and tender documents to prepare detailed cost estimates. Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ). Obtain material, equipment, and subcontractor quotations to ensure competitive pricing. Analyse labor, materials, equipment, and time requirements to compute accurate project costs. Prepare cost breakdowns, tender submissions, and variation claims. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to optimize cost efficiency. Monitor market trends in construction materials, labor rates, and subcontractor pricing. Assist in value engineering and risk assessment for projects. Maintain historical cost data for future reference and benchmarking. Support contract negotiations and provide cost-related input during project execution

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field. Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry. Strong knowledge of civil engineering projects, construction methods, and contract types. Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., Candy, CCS, PlanSwift, or similar) and MS Excel. Excellent mathematical and analytical skills. Strong negotiation and communication abilities. Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
