Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Minimum 5-7 years of experience in estimation and tendering, preferably within the EPC sector. Proven experience in estimating civil works for

substation

and

sewerage/pipeline

construction projects. Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, local market rates, and material specifications. Proficient in estimation software (e.g., Candy, CCS) and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Familiarity with UAE construction standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for civil works. Identify and quantify material, labor, equipment, and time requirements for substations and sewerage/pipeline projects. Prepare BOQs, cost breakdowns, and tender submissions in line with client requirements. Liaise with procurement and engineering teams to obtain vendor/subcontractor quotations and ensure accurate pricing. Review and evaluate technical/commercial aspects of tenders and provide support during bid negotiations. Track and update cost databases, productivity norms, and supplier price trends. Attend site visits and pre-bid meetings as needed to assess project conditions. Coordinate with project planning and construction teams to validate cost assumptions and support project handover.
