Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced

Civil Engineer

to oversee on-site construction activities. You will play a key role in ensuring that all work is executed according to design specifications, safety regulations, and project timelines. This position involves close collaboration with project managers and other stakeholders to develop effective project plans and ensure that all deliverables are met on time and within budget. You will also be responsible for regular reporting to senior management on project status and site conditions.

Key ResponsibilitiesSite Supervision

Monitor and manage daily site activities to ensure seamless coordination between contractors. Proactively identify potential issues to prevent rework and delays. Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards. Investigate and report safety incidents or near-miss events. Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize outcomes and minimize risk. Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and environmental standards. Provide technical guidance and resolve site-related issues promptly.

Design and Planning

Review site documentation such as method statements, installation drawings, and testing procedures. Evaluate decommissioning and feasibility studies along with associated risk assessments. Review design documents to ensure technical accuracy and feasibility. Offer input during the design phase to optimize construction methods and material use. Work with design teams to address and resolve design changes or challenges.

Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC)

Implement QA/QC procedures to maintain compliance with standards. Conduct quality inspections and testing of materials and workmanship. Identify and document non-conformities, ensuring timely resolution.

Team Collaboration

Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other project personnel. Promote a positive, collaborative work culture and effective team communication. Provide mentorship and technical support to junior engineers and site staff.

Qualifications & Requirements

UAE Driving License is a must! Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's degree preferred). 3-6 years of relevant site supervision experience, preferably in power generation or infrastructure projects. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and technical drawings. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Commitment to safety, quality, and environmental responsibility. Proficiency in AutoCAD and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, etc.).
