WestEast Living Contracting LLC is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive
Authority Approval & Planning Engineer
with a
minimum of 4 years experience in Dubai
to manage and secure approvals from various government and developer authorities. The ideal candidate will have
hands-on experience in interior fit-out and extension works
such as
balcony enclosures
,
roof structures
, and
room additions
, with a solid understanding of
DDA
procedures and approval cycles.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage submissions and obtain permits/NOCs from authorities including
DDA, DM, Trakhees, DEWA, Civil Defense, TECOM
, and others.
Prepare and submit detailed approval documentation including architectural drawings that you prepared based on AS Built drawings, structural modifications, and compliance reports.
Coordinate with internal design, project, and construction teams to align authority requirements with technical deliverables.
Handle
balcony enclosures
,
rooftop extensions
,
interior partitions
, and
load-light structural changes
within regulatory frameworks.
Liaise with authority engineers, attend technical meetings, and manage resubmissions or clarifications as required.
Maintain organized logs and trackers for all approval stages, including timelines, requirements, and correspondence.
Stay updated on changes in
Dubai authority regulations, DDA guidelines
, and approval systems.
Recommend strategies to speed up approvals and avoid common bottlenecks.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent.
Minimum 4 years of UAE experience
, with strong authority approval exposure.
Experience in interior fit-outs and residential extensions
(especially villas or low-rise G+1/G+2 properties).
Familiarity with
DDA authority systems
and procedures is a
major plus
.
Solid understanding of
balcony enclosures
,
roof modifications
, and other light structural extensions.
Strong knowledge of Dubai construction codes, permit procedures, and NOC processes.
Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and authority submission portals.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Valid UAE driving license is an advantage.
