As a Civil Design Engineer your role involves developing, reviewing, and coordinating civil designs in compliance with ADNOC standards, international codes, and project-specific requirements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and review civil and structural design deliverables for onshore oil & gas facilities, including:

• Foundations (equipment, pipe rack, tank, substation, etc.)
• Underground services (stormwater, sanitary, OWS, FOC, etc.)
• Roads, paving, fencing, and site grading
• Structural steel and concrete structures
• Prepare and review design documents including:

• Design calculations, material take-offs, specifications, and datasheets
• Civil layout drawings, trench layouts, road layouts, grading and drainage plans
• Ensure alignment with ADNOC Onshore specifications and applicable international standards (BS, ACI, ASTM, API, etc.)
• Participate in design reviews (Model Reviews, IDC, HAZID, HAZOP, Constructability)
• Interface with other engineering disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, Piping, Instrumentation, Process) for integrated design
• Assist in resolving technical queries from construction teams or ADNOC reviewers
• Provide input to constructability, cost estimation, and schedule development during FEED and DD
• Support procurement through review of vendor documents and civil-related package evaluations
• Ensure design safety, integrity, and functionality across all deliverables

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university
• 8-15 years of relevant experience in the oil & gas or energy sector, with a strong background in onshore projects
• Minimum 3 years experience in ADNOC projects, with a good understanding of ADNOC Onshore civil standards and approval processes
• Proven experience working through FEED and Detailed Design phases
• Proficient in civil design software (STAAD Pro, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Navisworks, etc.)
• Familiarity with SP3D, Navisworks, and project collaboration tools is a plus
• Strong understanding of UAE regulations and site conditions
• Excellent technical documentation and communication skills
• ADNOC or other Middle East client experience (especially in onshore fields, terminals, or gathering centers)
• Ability to lead or coordinate small teams of civil designers or drafters
• Good knowledge of constructability and field engineering practices
• Familiarity with sustainability and environmental design considerations in desert environments
