Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Civil Design Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in infrastructure and building projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering detailed civil and structural engineering designs, ensuring compliance with international and local standards, and coordinating across multidisciplinary teams within the design office.

Responsibilities:

Develop detailed civil and structural designs, including: Site grading and earthworks Roads and pavements Stormwater drainage systems Foundations, retaining walls, and structural framing (steel and concrete) Prepare and review design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, BOQs, and project documentation. Ensure designs adhere to relevant codes such as ACI, BS, Eurocodes, AASHTO, and local regulations. Use civil and structural software tools such as STAAD Pro, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ETABS, SAP2000, Revit, etc. Coordinate with architectural, mechanical, electrical, and other disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery. Review designs for constructability, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness. Provide support during tendering and construction phases through technical clarifications, shop drawing reviews, and site queries. Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities for design approvals. Lead and mentor junior engineers and CAD technicians in the preparation of deliverables.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized institution. Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil/structural design engineering, with at least 5 years in a design consultancy or design office environment. Proven track record in designing infrastructure or building projects (residential, commercial, industrial, or utility sectors). Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (ACI, BS, Eurocodes, AASHTO, etc.). Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD Pro, ETABS, Revit Structure, and other civil design tools. Familiarity with BIM workflows and coordination is preferred. Strong analytical, communication, and team collaboration skills. * Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
