Job Description

As an AutoCAD Drafter in Dubai's building contracting sector creates detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings using CAD software, collaborates with engineers and architects, ensures compliance with UAE building codes, and produces shop drawings and as-built documents for construction projects. Key responsibilities include revising designs based on feedback, maintaining organized documentation, and accurately interpreting client specifications for various building components like foundations, slabs, columns, and reinforcement. Key Responsibilities

Drawing Creation:

Generate detailed 2D and 3D AutoCAD drawings, blueprints, and plans for residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects.

Design Collaboration:

Work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to finalize designs and ensure their alignment with project requirements.

Technical Detailing:

Prepare detailed technical drawings for structural elements, including foundations, columns, beams, and reinforcement.

Documentation:

Maintain organized project documentation and update drawings to reflect changes and progress.

Compliance:

Ensure that all drawings and designs comply with industry standards, UAE building codes, and company guidelines.

Design Modification:

Modify and update designs based on feedback from project teams and clients.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Technical Proficiency:

Excellent proficiency in AutoCAD for both 2D and 3D drafting.

Industry Knowledge:

Strong understanding of architectural and construction drawings, technical drawing principles, and building codes.

Detail-Oriented:

Exceptional attention to detail and precision in creating technical drawings.

Software Knowledge:

Experience with other design software like Revit, SketchUp, or project management tools is a plus.

Education:

A degree in drafting, civil engineering, architecture, or a related field is preferred.

Experience:

Proven 4-5 years minimum experience as a draftsman in the construction industry, with UAE experience being a significant asset.

Soft Skills:

Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
