Value Proposition

Drive legal compliance for high-value, cross-border transactions worth billions. Play a key role in due diligence for major M&A deals. Collaborate with elite international law firms and financial institutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Legal Risk Management

Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including sales, procurement, and service agreements. Maintain and update a centralized contract template library with current legal standards. Provide strategic advice on transaction structuring and risk mitigation. Oversee dispute resolution processes, including litigation and arbitration coordination.

2. Compliance Oversight

Review marketing and communication materials to ensure cultural and religious sensitivity. Ensure adherence to financial regulatory frameworks across jurisdictions. Develop and enforce website and product content review protocols. Monitor, interpret, and implement regional legal and policy changes.

3. M&A Legal Support

Conduct and coordinate due diligence for mergers and acquisitions. Support the negotiation and drafting of M&A agreements. Design legally sound, risk-hedged transaction structures. Manage multi-jurisdictional regulatory approval processes.

4. External Legal Management

Identify, onboard, and manage external counsel and legal partners. Review and benchmark legal service fees, establishing clear performance evaluation metrics. Coordinate legal collaboration across multiple global regions.

5. Compliance Governance & Training

Develop and maintain compliance manuals and crisis response mechanisms tailored to each jurisdiction. Organize and deliver legal and compliance training programs. Regularly review and update company-wide risk prevention frameworks.

Requirements

Law degree from a top-tier university with a valid legal professional qualification. Minimum 5 years of experience in cross-border legal practice (in-house or with an international law firm). Familiarity with Islamic finance law and/or UK-US contract law is an advantage. Proficiency in AI-based contract review or legal automation tools. Excellent bilingual drafting ability in English and Chinese (IELTS 7.5 / TOEFL 105+ or equivalent).
