Chiller Engineer
Job Description
1. Safely operate the entire chilled water plant system, including chillers, pumps, cooling towers, and associated equipment, to meet building or process cooling requirements.
2. Diagnose and repair malfunctions, replacing parts as needed, and performing complex tasks like shaft alignment and electrical insulation testing.
3. Maintain the water treatment chemical program to ensure proper water chemistry for boilers, chillers, and cooling towers.
4. Perform maintenance on related systems, such as compressed air systems, and clean and maintain the plant and boiler facilities.
5. Ability to work with mechanical and electrical systems, including installing, maintaining, and repairing pumps, motors, compressors, and associated piping.
6. Ability to use computer control systems for plant operation and building interface control systems.
7. Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills to identify and resolve equipment issues.
8. A good understanding of health, safety regulations, and proper work area maintenance.
