Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join our leadership team and drive our technological vision as we scale rapidly. As CTO, you will be instrumental in building and leading our technology strategy, ensuring our platform is scalable, secure, and innovative to support our ambitious growth plans. You will be a hands-on leader who can both architect for the future and guide our talented engineering team.
Responsibilities:
Technology Strategy & Roadmap:
Develop and execute a forward-thinking technology strategy and roadmap aligned with our business goals and growth objectives. Identify and evaluate emerging technologies to maintain our competitive edge.
Scalability & Architecture:
Design and oversee the development of a highly scalable and robust platform architecture to support our rapidly increasing user base and future product expansions.
Team Leadership & Development:
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering team. Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement. Manage team performance and facilitate professional growth.
Product Collaboration:
Work closely with the Product team to translate product requirements into technical specifications and ensure timely and high-quality delivery of new features and enhancements.
Security & Compliance:
Establish and maintain best-in-class security practices and ensure compliance with relevant data privacy regulations.
Budget Management:
Manage the technology budget effectively, ensuring optimal resource allocation and maximizing ROI.
Vendor Management:
Evaluate and manage relationships with key technology vendors and partners.
Data Strategy:
Define and implement a comprehensive data strategy, including data architecture, storage, and analytics capabilities.
Qualifications:
Essential:
8+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a fast-growing technology company or startup.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in designing and scaling high-traffic, cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Deep understanding of modern software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps) and best practices.
Strong experience in building and leading engineering teams, including recruitment, performance management, and mentorship.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills. Ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred:
Experience in Healthcare Tech, Research, and Development.
Familiarity with data analytics tools and techniques.
Experience with internationalization and localization.
