CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER-BANKING (EAST AFRICA)
Our client, a reputed and leading bank in East Africa with a few thousand employees, is seeking to recruit a Chief Information Officer.
The Chief Information Officer (CIO) performs a critical role in providing vision and strategic leadership to enable the development, maintenance and enhancement of bank\xe2\x80\x99s information and technology-based enterprise functions. Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer (COO), the CIO has responsibility for management and leadership of Core Banking and Lending Technology, IT Security and Compliance, Business Continuity, the Project Management Office, Online Services, Corporate Information and Computer Operations & Support to ensure delivery of information services functions in line with the organization\xe2\x80\x99s strategic direction.

Also essential for bank\xe2\x80\x99s effective operational performance is an understanding of the compliance and auditing requirements of the industry with particular reference to financial systems.

MBA/Post-Graduate with focus on Information Technology- 12-15 years of sound domain knowledge of Banking sector out of which 5 years in an executive role
- Excellent knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure
- Superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- A strong strategic business mindset
- Excellent organizational, leadership skills, outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
