Objectives of the Role:

We are looking for a Chief Information Officer, who will be responsible for all IT relevant issues of the company including landscape strategy, planning, budgeting, build and operations of relevant IT applications within DCV MENA and RC Africa. Furthermore, the CIO will be responsible for the IT Operative planning, development of employees, delivery of demand and projects ensure smooth operation, follow information security requirement and the supplier relations within the IT department.

Main Responsibilities:

Business Engagement

• Define, ensure & communicate alignment of IT to business needs.
• Represent IT in business management meetings.
• Business stake holder management.
• Maximize IT collaboration and integration.
• Provide regular updates on IT delivery, IT potentials (financial or functional), IT risks for area of responsibility

IT Engagement

• Define & ensure alignment of regional and market level IT digital strategy.
• Regularly review and adjust market level IT strategy and adjust to market needs.
• Active partner in overall DTO IT organization.
• Maximize synergies across the region and Stuttgart/Singapore.
• Maintain constructive engagement with peers across markets and regional team.
• IT Governance and Documentation including MENA Landscape, TSA/SA overview and responsibility for the vendors.

Project Management

• Responsibility for allocating and committing resources to company projects on behalf of IT, balancing and prioritizing business needs.
• Negotiate and oversee contracts with suppliers to Plan, Build and Run projects.

IT Budget Planning

• Planning and reporting of internal IT budget and alignment with DTO IT Budget.
• Manage balance between cost optimization/reduction, fulfilment of business requirements, business risk exposure.
• Negotiate SLAs and contracts with external partners.
• Ensure transparency in pricing/performance/projects.

Information Security

• Implement information security processes based on security principles, policies, standards, and guidance from the local Information Security Officer.
• Participate in DTO/HQ wide Security activities.
• Align/implement Global/Regional security initiatives

IT Staff Management

• Provide clear leadership, direction / strategy and motivate IT staff.
• Communicate IT and market specific decisions to IT team.
• Line and staff management as per standard management responsibilities.
• Align IT knowhow to market needs and guarantee effective IT team.

Compliance

• Compliance to Daimler Truck\'s Code of Conduct.
• Compliance to Daimler Truck\'s Policies and Guidelines (Local and Global where applicable).

• University degree in Information technology, Engineering or Management

Experience and Specific Knowledge Requirements:

• 5-8 years relevant IT experience
• Experience with Application management and IT Vendor steering
• Team management experience
• Business process management knowledge
• Incident management skills with system orientations
• Information security knowledge and governance experience
• Profound computer skills, esp. MS Office, Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud is a plus
